A: A bit is one piece of digital information. When a number of bits are strung together (like 16 or 20 of them), they form a digital word, which describes the music at that particular point in time. On a CD, there are 44,100 of these words that make up one second of music.Q: Do I need special equipment to play these new CDs and will I have to replace all my current CDs?
